Random Picker — Spin the Wheel

Spin a wheel of names, draw winners from a list, generate random numbers, flip a coin, roll dice or split a group into teams.

Winner—

This tool runs entirely in your browser; your data is never sent to a server.

How to use

  1. 1Choose a mode: wheel, list picker, random number, coin flip, dice or team splitter.
  2. 2Enter your names or items one per line, or set the number range.
  3. 3Spin, draw or roll — optionally remove each winner from the wheel for the next spin.
  4. 4Use “Copy share link” to send your list to someone else — it opens with the same entries.

Six ways to pick at random

The spinning wheel is ideal for classrooms, streams and giveaways, with an option to remove the winner after each spin; sound is off by default. The list picker draws one or several winners at once without duplicates. The number generator gives one or many numbers between a minimum and maximum, optionally all unique. Coin flip, dice (one to six dice) and a team splitter that divides a list into any number of teams cover the rest.

How fair is it?

Results come from crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator, rather than the weaker Math.random. Every entry has the same chance on each draw, and nothing is decided in advance. For prize draws with legal requirements, keep a record of the list and result — a screen recording of the spin is a simple way to show it was fair.

Share your list

Your list is stored in the page link (the part after #), so you can bookmark it or send it to others and they will see the same entries. The hash is not sent to the server, and the draw itself runs entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Can the same name be picked twice?

Not when you draw several winners at once — the list picker never repeats an entry. On the wheel, turn on “remove winner” to exclude previous winners.

Is the random number generator truly random?

It uses the browser’s cryptographically secure generator, which is suitable for draws and games. It is not a certified lottery system.

How do I split a class into groups?

Open the team splitter, paste the names, choose the number of teams and the names are shuffled into evenly sized teams.

Are my names uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser; the list is only in the link if you share it.
